Bicycle Trade-Up Programs

We at Yorktown Cycles love to sell bikes and try to make it easy for you with TWO different bicycle trade-in programs.  First is our Kid's Trade-Up Program that helps parents keep kids on properly sized bikes as they grow.  Second, is our 30-Day Satisfaction Trade-Up Program. Our 30-Day Satisfaction Trade-Up Program allows adults to buy with confidence and have zero buyer's remorse.

What is the Kid's Trade-Up Program?

Yorktown Cycles wants you to have a safe, fun bicycle for your child. As your child outgrows their current bike and needs a taller one, our trade-up program will help you keep them on the right size bike.   Here's how it works--When you purchase a kid's bike from Yorktown Cycles, you can bring it back whenever you are done with it. We offer 40% (<1st year) and 30% (<3 years) of the amount that you paid for the original bike as credit towards a larger one. Trade in bikes must be in good working condition* and clean.  It's easy!

What is the 30-Day Trade-up Policy?

At Yorktown Cycles our goal is 100% Customer Satisfaction. If you buy a bike from us and wish you had bought the next best model or a different style of bike all together, its not a problem with our Trade-up Policy. Within 30 days of the original date of purchase,  Yorktown Cycles will give you 100% credit toward a bike that is at least $100 more than your original bike purchase. Your original purchased bike must be in good clean condition.*  Yorktown Cycles also has a Trade-In program for kids bicycles as they grow out of a smaller size.  Buy a new bike with confidence at Yorktown Cycles.

Trading-In your bike is easy!

As you can see, Yorktown Cycles wants to make it easy for you and your kids to be on just the right bike.  Please strike up a conversation with any of the sales staff if you need further information or want an estimate of what your trade-in is worth. *Good working condition is defined as: A safe and functioning bicycle where all tires have no less than 50% of tread remaining, tubes hold air, no stripped nuts, bolts, or allen keys; brakes and pads stop bike adequately; drivetrain components (gears, chain, shifters, etc.) are in good condition, grips and seat are not torn, wheels and frame are intact, and all original accessories are present (i.e. baskets, training wheels, safety pads).  Any bike can be rejected from this policy if the bicycle has been seriously neglected or damaged.
